The One We Stay For

 We meet many people in our lifetime.

Some arrive like lessons.

Some arrive like warnings.

Some arrive like storms — loud and unforgettable.

But then there’s the one who arrives like a home.

No noise.

No drama.

Just comfort.

The one who stays when we are quiet, uncertain, imperfect and raw.

But unfortunately these ones are often taken for granted and disrespected

While we chase the exciting ones…

and overlook the one who would actually stay.

Then we go ahead to the media and cry to our friends and support groups that women/men are wicked 😭,when we chose chaos over peace and excitement over calm

And we continue to reap the reward of our own inability to identify what we need and after we're dissatisfied and disappointed in an unfulfilled union.....

 We then go ahead to create and fuel gender wars , turning one gender against the other and tagging them the source of our problems,when we're supposed to be looking within and being honest with ourselves about we really need

we go ahead to blame each other, when in reality it's all in the choices we made, often times out of ignorance.

If your goal is peace then don't go chasing war and if you make only excitement your priority when choosing a patner, then you may not end up being as fulfilled and happy as you'd expect 

because when our wants clashes with our needs and we do not know how to tell the difference then the result is dissatisfaction with our choice 

Now it doesn't mean they're no exciting people who are peaceful but being able to identify our own needs as against what we want or find to be mainly pleasing is the first step

Love isn’t always fireworks.

Sometimes it’s peace. 

And if you did  accommodate someone in your heart in the past or even at the moment because you sincerely thought they were “the one”, and even after going as far as making sure that they checked all the boxes for all you need in a patner and you found out that they were faking all along, don't beat yourself up 😔🥀 

Cause you didn't see it coming because even though you were careful enough,you still ended up hurt and now you're left wondering if good people exist,I get it🤕 and I can assure you they do and are probably going through their own lesson as well

You're not alone

we've all been there, I can assure you that this is not your fault,you did the right thing even if it was to the wrong person 😔 

 

Just take your time, breath, keep breathing and let go, now it's not going to be easy but trust me it'll be worth it,try to forgive yourself and be kind to yourself, you deserve it 👍🏽

Through lessons we grow and come to understand ourselves better 

So no matter how hard it seems or seemed, always try to look at the bright side of the situation even if it doesn't make any sense, because when you really look at the lessons it brings, you find solutions☀️
